This mentorship includes Three, 2 hour sessions designed to elevate your photography both creatively and technically.
We will focus on many things like, storytelling, composition and a creative approach to the wedding day. You will also receive a personalized portfolio review with honest, constructive feedback to refine your work and strengthen your overall direction to reach your creative goals!
These mentor sessions include THREE in depth, 2 hour sessions that have been designed to improve your photography both creatively and technically.
Session 1: Portfolio Review
We will go through a personalized portfolio review tailored specifically to you You will be required to share a full wedding gallery as well as a portfolio page. I’ll provide honest, constructive feedback on your work, helping you identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for growth. We’ll refine your selection of images, talk through consistency, and work toward building a portfolio that better represents your vision and the type of work you want to attract.
Session 2: Storytelling & Composition
In this session, we’ll break down how to approach a wedding day with purpose and intention. You’ll learn how to anticipate moments, recognize meaningful interactions, and translate them into compelling images. We’ll focus heavily on composition. how to frame scenes in a way that feels impactful for your clients and viewers and how to create a gallery that flows cohesively from start to finish. The goal is to move beyond simply documenting moments and start telling a story that feels honest, immersive, and emotionally driven.
Session 3: Lighting & Creative Techniques
This session is centered around understanding and shaping light to match your vision. We’ll cover how to work confidently in a variety of lighting scenarios from ideal natural light to more challenging situations. and how to use both available light and off-camera flash to create depth, mood, and consistency.
